Westfield Metreon Redevelopment

In 2012, San Francisco’s Metreon redevelopment was very much ahead of its time in urban mixed-use redevelopment. Not only was the existing Sony experiential “flagship” originally designed by KPF rethought in terms of mix and use, but it also transformed a very inward-focused building “inside-out” with a new dining terrace environment with multiple food offerings, out-ward facing retail and fast-casual restaurants, and ultimately San Francisco’s first City Target at the time.
