Annapolis OM Project- Kids Dining Terrace Play Space Conversion
At times in our careers, we are allowed the convenience to rethink and transform a previously designed space. At Westfield Annapolis, the opportunity to alter the former “flagship” kids dining terrace space into a new crucial customer amenity was an incredible moment. Not only were we able to interpret the “Coastal Modern” theme with another applicable use, the project illustrated the characteristics central to “timeless” design where most of space’s shell elements were retained as important components of the new design
The existing Annapolis “flagship” kids dining terrace space evolves into another amenity use.
Overall Interior Shell & Kids Play Concept Trend:
The new concourse view to the transformed kids dining terrace space with “feature” octopus element. The space is rethought and integrated with a new applicable amenity use- a kids play concept. Many of the former dining terrace interior shell elements from the “Coastal Modern” trend will remain with a new kids play concept and elements also reflective of the mall’s central “flagship” theme.
The former interior bistro seating is removed to accommodate the main climbing structure feature at the space’s interior.
