Westfield Wheaton Costco Redevelopment

A new industrial aesthetic typology is born.

The Costco anchor integration was a “first of its kind” when conceived and constructed for Wheaton in 2012. Not only was Costco a new anchor option for the Westfield portfolio providing a “one-stop-shop” so current in the thinking of today’s leasing and mix thoughts, it facilitated the opportunity to define distinct concourse integrations for the portfolio as a whole with an industrial “Warehouse-Chic” look implemented at both Wheaton, Md & Sarasota Mall in Florida.

“Warehouse-Chic” was used to integrate Costco as an anchor to the interior mall aesthetic.
