Annapolis’ Coastal Modern trend facilitates an original boutique bistro environment.
Project Trend: “Coastal Modern”
The extraordinary dining terrace transformation is a minimal shell renovation with an expressive bistro furniture line and layers of appropriate placed and scaled decorative lighting.
A view through the new “Coastal Modern” Bistro environment from one of the characteristic custom banquette / counter assemblies. Varied banquette compositions were used to create more singular moments for the customer throughout the space accented with decorative lighting groups.
As in many of our dining terrace renovations throughout the years trend specific communal tables mixed with custom banquette seating zones are used to organize the interior and provide different communal experiences throughout the space.
The new entry to the bistro environment from the exterior. One enters to find the “Coastal Modern” trend in full display with trend specific graphics and furniture and an impressive “fish” sculpture to define one’s arrival.
Special spaces are “dotted” throughout the new bistro interior. The round rope lounge environment adds a signature statement to the interior while allowing the consumer to experience different levels of spatial intimacy.
The round rope lounge is a place to eat, meet, and be seen and is delineated by its curved high-back lounge units and stools created specifically for the Coastal Modern furniture line trend.
Different scales of interaction exist throughout the bistro interior. The communal “cross” counter assembly attracts the younger demographic who hang out in large groups and provides them with a sense of identity in the interior.

Custom light fixtures were designed to address the different scaled environments throughout the space.
Appropriately detailed custom light fixtures are essential to a new bistro environment. The “I-beam” rope chandeliers were developed custom to define the communal table zone areas and add the correct sense of scale.

"Stock” light fixtures in pleasant compositions were also used in the interior to define banquette seating and areas designated specifically for children.
